This weekend the V8 Utes are back at Taupo, this time for a marathon Yokohama One-Hour Enduro. With potentially 30+ laps possible in the 60-minute race, drivers and their utes will be put to the test. Stu Monteith in the Trade Depot Holden won at the last Enduro event. Who will have the speed and staying power this weekend?
YOKOHAMA INCREASES ITS GRIP ON THE V8 UTES THIS WEEKEND AT TAUPO
YOKOHAMA IS SUPPORTING THE ENDURO
The V8 Utes are proud to have had a long term partnership with Radial Imports NZ, importers of Yokohama tyres.
Every round, they award one driver a set of 4 Yokohama tyres through a random lucky draw. And every round, Sam and Anton treat the drivers and crews to a hearty BBQ.
Yokohama tyres are not only the official tyres of the V8 Utes, but are fitted as standard to some of the world's finest sports cars including the Lotus Elise and Evora.
The Yokohama One-Hour Enduro will be the feature event late Sunday afternoon at Taupo International Motorsport Park this weekend. The V8 Utes will cover 30+ laps - more than three times the distance of a typical race. While drivers endurance will be put to the test, thankfully the punishing laps will be no issue for their tyres.
